The Not-So-Cool Kids visit MCCC 2013...

In an attempt to be even more nerdy than we already are...Brent Brozek, Michael Lomas, Kat Ruff, and Brian Titus (Hosts of The Not-So-Cool Kids Podcast) camped out at Motor City Comic Con throughout the 3 day event!  We missed our 5th host Kelcie Banas, but that didn't stop us from getting our geeky freak on (NO you sickos, we know what you are thinking).  Brent Brozek, uber action figure collector had reserved an exhibitor table to sell some of his goods but it also doubled as a home base for 'The Not-So-Cool Kids Podcast.'  This year's convention boasted record breaking attendance, long lines, amazing media and comic guests, plus plenty of personal (AWESOME) stories from the convention floor.  In addition to selling, we played VERSUS with several fans and got the word out about the new podcast in town (audio & video to come).  We will nerd-out about all our personal experiences on one of the upcoming podcasts so stay tuned (including a few celebrity encounters that were note-worthy).  It will be either May 23rd or

Here are some pictures from the 2013 Motor City Comic Con!  Enjoy.

Ummm, yeah...that was awesome, nuff said

All in all the convention was fantastic and we hope that next year we can get press passes and perhaps record a LIVE show directly from the floor.  These pictures don't even cover half of what we saw throughout the 3 day adventure.  Looking forward to 2014!

New Guests Scheduled for May - June 2013...

Here are the latest guest additions to the podcast.  The list keeps getting longer but we would love your suggestions.  Please write us and let us know which guests you'd like to see on the show at notsocoolkidspodcast@gmail.com

A breakdown of some upcoming guests:

Jeremy Telford & Balloon Guy Entertainment- May 23rd
Recently featured in Maxim magazine and many other web news sources, Jeremy recently created a hobbit house made completely of balloons in his living room.  We assume he is a gigantic LOTR fan but I guess we shall find out!  But that isn't all he has created, Jeremy and his family business (Balloon Guy Entertainment) create custom balloon art and sculptures for big time clients.  Just check out his website for more pictures of the massive projects he has done.  http://www.balloonguyentertainment.com/

Bob Dullam- May 31st
Bob is an extreme custom fabricator and sculptor (also an all around rad dude) who specializes in making things nerds like us geek out at!  In the past Bob has created super hero costumes, busts of characters from the Batman franchise and LOTR, but lets not forget he owns his own Batman Tumbler that he made from scratch.  Check out his website for pictures.  http://bobdullam.com/

Michigan Ghostbusters & Detroit Ghostbusters- June 2nd
These two Michigan based Ghostbuster "fanatic" organizations have been creating original content based off of the popular Ghostbuster franchise.  The Michigan Ghostbusters have a web series that you can watch via YouTube, but they also travel around to events donating their time through Ghostbuster cosplay.  The Detroit Ghostbusters is a fan-film currently in post production but has already released a trailer on the web.  Neither of these groups are "afraid of no ghosts."

Casie Baun (AKA: Pretty Poisen)- June 14th
This cosplay cutie, con-model, actress, and all around bad ass is known for making her rounds at national comic conventions!  Her unique style and love for all things geeky make her one of our BFFs!  Casie has posed for various nerd-culture themed photo sessions.  Don't believe me?  Check out her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/cassbaun
